My Bikes
There are more pictures on Flickr.
Here are my bikes.
First up, under the category of “(Slow Old Man) + (Fast Bike) = (Slow Old Man)” is my Salsa Podio.
This is the 49cm frame with the Salsa standard SRAM-Rival gruppo plus Mavic Ksyrium Elite wheels. As pictured, with everything including tools, spares, frame pump, GPS … basically everything except for water bottles and me, it weighs 19.5 lbs 19lbs 18.5lbs (not pictured – Selle Italia SLC saddle, Salsa 90mm stem, Arundel Trident bottle cages, Look Keo 2 Max Carbon pedals, Thompson Elite 0-offset seatpost, Mavic Ksyrium SL wheelset, Dura-Ace 12-27 cassette, Wipperman chain… I really need to take a new photo) . (Here’s a link to my posts on this bike.)
Next, in the “Not so Light, But Plenty Comfy” category is my Salsa Casseroll Road Triple.
This is a 53cm frame with the standard (way back in 2009, anyway) Shimano 105 drivetrain. I’m using the original Salsa Delgado Cross rims-Shimano Tiagra hubs with Schwalbe Marathon Supreme (32mm) tires. Other stuff includes Brook B17 Champion saddle and bar tape, Acorn Medium saddlebag, Lezyne Road Drive pump, and Evo-Lite mirror.
In the “Long Haul Trucker” category is my Surly Long Haul Trucker.
This is the 56cm frame built with Shimano XT everything plus 36 spoke Mavic Rims on XT hubs. I’m using ITM Selego Trekking bars, Brooks B17 Champion saddle and bar tape, and a Tubus Logo rack.
And finally, in the “Runs Over Everything That Gets in My Way” category is my Salsa Fargo.
The frame is the Small (16″) and it is equipped with the standard XT drivetrain and Avid BB7 disc brakes. Added stuff includes Planet Bike Cascadia fenders, Surly Nice Rack, PB Superflash, Acorn Small saddle bag, Brooks B67 Saddle, Lezyne Alloy drive frame pump, and Cygolite Milion 200 headlight. Oh yeah, and I carry my U-lock in the Walnut Studilio Leather U-lock Holster. (Here’s a link to everything I ever said about this bike.)
